Event sales manager

Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with the Director of Sales to establish clear, identifiable, and achievable sales targets for both guestrooms and events.
Achieve revenue goals, guest satisfaction, and oversee the financial performance of the department.
Service and develop new market territories.
Identify market trends and marketing opportunities.
Convert sales leads into sales platform.
Solicit for rooms businesses by conducting daily field calls, networking activities, and correspondence.
Handle sales inquiries and sales quotations to customers.
Track closely review/cut-off dates, especially for big groups.
Arrange site inspection trips to the hotel by major clients.
Work closely with key business leaders, officials, and representatives of local community groups within the city to ensure constant high-profile exposure for the hotel.
Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community; may serve as the hotel representative for media-related inquiries.
Schedule conventions and/or business group activities at the hotel and coordinate with other hotel-level departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients.
Plan and coordinate logistical operational matters for events (e.g., tracking closely cut-off dates).
Liaise and coordinate with internal departments to manage event orders (preparing BEO, scheduling meetings with departments before BEO, updating the list of offers regarding menus and drinks, etc.).
Ensure smooth operations of events and F&B services during events.
