Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Service Crew member to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with superiors regarding any difficulties or guest comments.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
  • Attend daily briefings and participate in scheduled meetings.
  • Participate in training sessions as scheduled.
  • Deliver high-quality food and beverage service according to departmental standards and procedures.
  • Prepare for service.
  • Carry out effective service.
  • Carry out effective beverage service.
  • Resolve guest complaints efficiently.
  • Store food and beverage stock in accordance with hotel procedures.
  • Ensure prompt and efficient delivery of food and beverages to guests' tables.
  • Upsell beverages and replenish regularly, adhering to responsible alcohol service regulations.
  • Promote and sell cocktails to guests.
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Demonstrate awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within guidelines.

Accountability:

This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer-focused service under the direction of the F&B Operation Manager or Supervisor, through adherence to InterContinental Hotels Group Policies and Procedures and local hotel policies and procedures. You will also contribute to promoting a desired work culture around our Winning Ways of the InterContinental Hotels Group and embrace the IHG Commitment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A High School or Vocational Certificate in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or a related field, with 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Obtained alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local government agency.
  • Ability to interact with customers, employees, and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand, and the Company.
  • Able to read and write English.
