Overview
Bioprocess Field Application Specialist (FAS) role at Cytiva. Location: ASEAN region; this is a fully remote position within the Bioprocess ASEAN team located in Singapore.
The Field Applications Specialist provides technical expertise and applications support to regional accounts, supports the sales process for downstream chromatography and TTF skids technologies and resins, conducts pre- and post-sale product demonstrations, and performs technical troubleshooting to support sales objectives. The role requires basic upstream and single-use knowledge to serve as backup and works closely with Upstream FAS and regional sales teams to drive growth in Upstream and Single Use technologies.
Reports to the Bioprocess FAS Leader.
What you will do:
Support regional pre- and post-sales activities including technical and application review of tenders and technical follow-up for QAA’s.
Maintain a high level of technical knowledge on specialist subjects, products and their applications; keep up-to-date knowledge of downstream products, services and support literature.
Develop and execute product training plans for existing customers, sales partners, and channel partners for the downstream product segment.
Respond to regional customer technical inquiries and feedback from customers and/or sales staff, using appropriate questioning to identify the nature of the request or complaint.
Identify opportunities to convert technical inquiries into new or developed sales possibilities (e.g., design-in, lead generation, up- and cross-selling, and initiating quotations).
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years in project engineering or management, preferably in a cGMP manufacturing or engineering setting. Strong understanding of bioprocess manufacturing, protein sciences, chromatography, filtration, and resin technologies.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; able to engage with customers, global teams, and cross-functional colleagues. Team-oriented with a customer-focused mindset.
Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
Capable of multitasking and managing priorities independently with minimal supervision in dynamic environments. Fluency in relevant local languages is a plus.
Travel:
Willingness to travel 50% or more within the specified geographic region (SEA/ASEAN) with occasional overnight stays for a few days for sales meetings and tradeshows.
Nice to have:
Manufacturing experience in Pharmaceuticals.
Automation knowledge, e.g., Unicorn and DeltaV control systems.
Upstream knowledge for bioreactors and cell culture media.
