Job Title: Director of Employee Relations
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- We are seeking an experienced HR professional to lead our human resources function, overseeing talent management, succession planning, workforce planning, training, compensation administration, benefits, and total rewards. The ideal candidate will also support the setup of overseas subsidiaries, build commitment, address issues, implement recognition and incentives systems, and ensure policy compliance.
- The successful candidate will serve as a human resources business partner, working closely with senior leaders to understand business objectives and implement effective human resources solutions.
- As an active member of the leadership team, you will provide human resources perspective and advice on key decisions.
- You will develop annual manpower plans, budgets, and organizational changes, including communication, sentiment management, and employee engagement.
- This role involves driving and leading human resources projects, such as performance appraisals, bonus payouts, audits, and learning development frameworks.
- You will nurture human resources team members by developing their job competencies and mentoring them to be independent and competent employees.
- The successful candidate will formulate, implement, and review human resources policies and regulations to meet business objectives and ensure relevance in changing environments.
- Maintaining professional knowledge is essential through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies.
Requirements:
- Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
- A minimum of 8-10 years' experience, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
- An independent self-starter to lead, act, and execute company directives.
- Familiarity with employment law.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Good listening and communication skills (verbal/written).
- Relation-building skills.
- Union management skills.
