Learning Systems Operations & Support Manager - DSC/JS ST Engineering is a global technology, defence, and engineering group with offices across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the U.S., serving customers in more than 100 countries. As a Learning Systems Operations & Support Manager, you will harness your expertise in cloud technologies to design, develop, and implement robust application solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients in the Learning Domain. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive cloud adoption and ensure that applications are scalable, secure, and maintainable. Responsibilities: Managing and coordinating the team responsible for resolving application-related issues, providing user support, and ensuring the smooth functioning of software. Investigating, diagnosing, and resolving application-related incidents and problems, including root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures. Overseeing the maintenance and updates of applications, including applying patches, upgrades, and new releases, while ensuring minimal disruption to users. Monitoring application performance, availability, and reliability, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing optimization strategies. Managing changes to applications, including planning, testing, and deploying updates, ensuring minimal disruption to users. Communicating with stakeholders, including senior management, users, and development teams, about application status, issues, and planned changes. Managing the budget for application maintenance and support, including tracking costs and identifying opportunities for cost optimization. Leading and mentoring a team of application support specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Contributing to the long-term strategy for application maintenance and development, aligning with the organization's overall goals. Ensuring applications adhere to relevant security policies and regulatory requirements Qualifications: Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, application architecture, and various technologies relevant to the organization's applications Certification in AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform Java Technology Stack Experience Required (ie. Springboot, Apache Tomcat)5 years experience supporting and maintaining cloud application solution Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, analyze data, and identify root causes. Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Ability to manage projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring progress. Understanding of the organization's business objectives and how applications support those objectives. Familiarity with ITIL or other IT Service Management frameworks for application support and maintenance.
