What The Role Is

You shall play key roles in implementing correctional counselling and/or casework interventions, work closely with fellow Captains of Lives and various internal/external stakeholders to facilitate sustained positive change in offenders.

What You Will Be Working On

As a Correctional Rehabilitation Specialist (CRS), the job responsibilities may include:

  • Conduct offender assessment and formulate intervention plans.
  • Plan, coordinate and delivery of direct rehabilitative interventions for offenders (group-based programmes if in care, or counselling and casework if in the community).
  • Work closely with various stakeholders to improve offenders' social capital.
  • Train and audit vendors who have been engaged to run rehabilitation services in care or the community.
  • Provide feedback on the needs of offenders and the effectiveness of correctional rehabilitation to various stakeholders.
  • Engage in practice-based research and contribute to the development of policies.
  • Ensure effective implementation of rehabilitation initiatives.
  • Train and support Prison officers in developing rehabilitation skills.
  • Provide consultancy and direct support to Prison officers in their management of inmates with complex needs.
  • Contribute to the development of new rehabilitation initiatives.
  • As part of the Caring Action in Response to Emergencies (CARE) system, provide support to colleagues or stakeholders during critical incidents or operations.
  • Administrative duties to support any of the above.

  • Desire for continuous learning.
  • Demonstrate initiative while complementing the work of colleagues.
