About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Correctional Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in implementing correctional counselling and casework interventions.

You will work closely with fellow professionals and stakeholders to facilitate positive change in offenders. Your duties may include:

  • Conducting offender assessments and formulating intervention plans.
  • Planning, coordinating, and delivering direct rehabilitative interventions for offenders.
  • Working with various stakeholders to improve offenders' social capital.
  • Training and auditing vendors who run rehabilitation services.
  • Providing feedback on the needs of offenders and the effectiveness of correctional rehabilitation.
  • Engaging in practice-based research and contributing to policy development.
  • Ensuring effective implementation of rehabilitation initiatives.
  • Training and supporting prison officers in developing rehabilitation skills.
  • Providing consultancy and direct support to prison officers managing inmates with complex needs.
  • Contributing to the development of new rehabilitation initiatives.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work with people from various disciplines and backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate initiative while complementing the work of colleagues.
