Community Interventions Specialist

As a Community Interventions Specialist, you will be responsible for initiating and participating in outreach efforts related to the Division. This includes developing outreach plans to publicise the Division Programmes and establishing good relationships and contacts with stakeholders or community partners.

The role requires management of referrals, engaging referral agencies/persons for intake and assessment, and case assessment/conceptualisation through thorough assessments of cases using information gathered during the intake and subsequent engagement with clients, family, and stakeholders.

You will collaborate with clients to develop intervention plans, provide counselling and support to address their risks and needs issues, advocate for clients' rights and access to essential services within the community and relevant systems, and document all case-related records.

This is an opportunity to research and evaluate current trends, participate in and support research projects, and engage in professional development and education through regular attendance at Internal Case Reviews/Case Conceptualisation meetings/Clinical Supervision.

Additionally, you will have the chance to develop and implement new projects/initiatives that are aligned with the objectives of the Division, and supervise interns/students on placement.

  • Requirements:
  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent with 2 years of experience in social service sector or similar setting.
  • Well-versed with MS Office programmes and experiences with social work interventions; interest in growing clinical skills.
