Library Operations Coordinator

About the Role:

This role involves providing efficient and high-quality service desk duties, supervising collection maintenance activities, and operating the library management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective service desk duties in line with our library excellence standards.
  • Oversee collection maintenance activities to ensure optimal resource accessibility.
  • Operate the library management system efficiently and effectively.
  • Analyze current library processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Train and lead student assistants on delivering library operational tasks and procedures.
  • Monitor and provide timely feedback on user spaces in the libraries regarding cleanliness and condition.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain library equipment.
  • Contribute to service or space transformation initiatives or projects.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as staff and student assistant rostering, budget tracking, and procurement.
  • Provide relevant data and reports from the library system to facilitate decision-making by the management.
  • Support workplace safety by assisting in safety-related tasks.
