We are currently at the pre-revenue, seed stage and hold awarded patents for our core technology. Role Summary We are seeking a foundational CFO to join our leadership team. This is a hands‑on role requiring the establishment of our entire financial function from scratch. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership on fundraising (equity and grants) and manage our IP assets, while building the corporate governance and internal controls necessary for high growth and a future public listing. Key Responsibilities 1. Fundraising & Capital Strategy Partner with the CEO to lead Series A and B fundraising rounds, including financial modeling, investor materials, and due diligence. Aggressively identify and secure non‑dilutive funding from Singapore-based grants. Rigorous management of cash flow, burn rate, and financial runway. 2. Financial Operations & Governance Build the company's financial infrastructure: accounting systems, payroll, and internal controls. Establish "audit‑ready" corporate governance and reporting from day one. Prepare all board reports, management accounts, and financial statements. Manage the company cap table and ESOP. 3. R&D & IP Finance Manage the financial aspects of our patent IP portfolio, including valuation considerations. Oversee R&D tax incentives and ensure correct capitalization of development costs (IFRS/SFRS(I)). Handle all compliance, tax, and statutory filings. Candidate Requirements Non‑Negotiable: Qualification: Must be a qualified CA, CPA, or ACCA. Audit Foundation: Minimum 10+ years of experience, with an initial background in Big 4 audit. Capital Markets: Demonstrable, hands‑on experience with an IPO/RTO process or managing the finance function of a publicly listed company. Highly Preferred: Sector Experience: Prior work in a deep‑tech, R&D‑heavy, or tech company. Grant Experience: Proven success in securing and managing grants from Singapore government bodies. Attitude: Must be hands‑on and willing to manage all day‑to‑day finance tasks before building a team.
