Assistant Restaurant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house operations and deliver exceptional customer experiences. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising service staff, fostering positive relationships with customers, and promoting a culture of excellence within the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers warmly and make them feel at home.
  • Supervise service staff to ensure high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer experience are consistently met.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers to enhance their dining experience and build loyalty.
  • Coach and mentor team members to uphold and deliver consistent service excellence.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Proactively gather feedback to understand customers' preferences and expectations better.
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain strict adherence to hygiene, safety, and cleanliness protocols.
  • Comply with established policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and grooming guidelines.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the management team to support overall F&B operations.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the F&B industry, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Well-groomed with a consistently professional appearance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with, motivate and lead the team.
  • Positive and proactive attitude with a readiness to take initiative and motivate others.
  • Calm and composed under pressure, maintaining focus to guide the team through busy and challenging situations.
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling is a plus.
  • Able to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
