The role of a Student Progression Officer is crucial in ensuring the academic progression of students. The officer will provide administrative support for assessment processes, student results, and appeal management.

This position requires the ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of examination systems, policies, and procedures. The officer must oversee the organisation, scheduling, and security of assessments and exams, ensuring appropriate provisions for students with special requirements.

The officer will create progressive assessment schedules and coordinate invigilators and exam logistics. They will also advise students on course requirements and academic and assessment matters, and manage requests for paper reviews, deferred assessments, and extensions.

Additionally, the officer will handle cases of appeals, and academic misconduct, and provide support to students at risk by referring them to appropriate academic resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Key qualifications include a degree or diploma in Business Administration or a relevant discipline. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in student information systems or customer relationship management tools are preferred.

The officer must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and organisational skills.
