Strategic Facilities Leader
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking professional to oversee facilities maintenance operations, development projects, and strategic initiatives within a commercial environment.
This leadership role combines operational excellence, asset enhancement, and project management to ensure optimal performance and long-term value of the property portfolio.
- Lead day-to-day maintenance operations, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and building systems.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate energy efficiency, safety, and sustainability targets across facilities.
- Manage vendor contracts, service level agreements, and periodic audits.
- Collaborate with tenants and internal teams to resolve maintenance issues promptly and professionally.
- Oversee feasibility studies, design reviews, budgeting, tendering, contractor management, and handover processes for asset enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure all projects comply with local regulations, safety standards, and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for energy efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, architects, consultants, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Plan and manage annual facilities and capital expenditure budgets.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics across maintenance and project teams.
- Provide strategic input on lifecycle costing, infrastructure upgrades, and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, or Architecture; advanced degree or certifications is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including maintenance management and project development, ideally in commercial, retail, or mixed-use developments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach.
- Proven experience in managing internal technical teams and external vendors/consultants.
- Familiarity with local building regulations, workplace safety, and sustainability standards.
