Job Role

We are seeking a skilled application specialist to fill this exciting position. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting users of IT applications and responding to their requests and resolving incidents.

Main Responsibilities

  • Swiftly resolve incidents impacting users through thorough investigation and effective communication throughout the incident lifecycle.
  • Promptly handle user requests effectively, prioritizing based on urgency and impact.
  • Drive sustainable solutions to prevent recurring issues by identifying root causes and defining remediation actions.
  • Serve as the primary communication channel between IT and stakeholders, collaborating with other support engineers, users, and stakeholders.

Application Oversight

  • Define and implement application monitoring for timely incident detection, utilizing monitoring as code whenever possible.
  • Supervise and monitor daily and monthly batch chains to ensure swift analysis and resolution of problems.
  • Process and issue daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on data quality.

Incidents and Requests Management

  • Provide level 2 application support to back-office users.
  • Analyze and manage incidents/requests, coordinating incidents impacting several teams.
  • Identify recurring problems and eliminate them, providing requirements to build team for bug fixing and improvements.
  • Promote problem management and continuous improvement, maintaining knowledge bases for each application in coordination with build team and operations team.

Change Enhancement

  • Release testing and performance analysis.
  • Production deployment and validation, including production releases on weekends (rotating schedule within the team).
  • Write and maintain programmable code outlined in technical instructions and specifications for software applications and operating systems.

Qualifications and Profile

  • Minimum 7 years hands-on experience with Calypso as a back office system.
  • Experience on Calypso version 16.
  • Familiarity with Calypso Back-office functionalities: Engines, Events, Filters, Reporting Framework, Scheduled Task, Message/Swift messages,
