Our studio is currently looking for a Client Engineer to join our multi-talented team and contribute to the development of exciting new mobile games. While working closely with our Technology Lead, the Client Engineer will implement innovative features, and ensure an exceptional user experience on iOS and Android. Your ability to contribute to code reviews and mentor team members will aid in shaping the future of our game development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mobile Game Client Development: Lead and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of mobile game clients across various platforms (iOS and Android).
• Code Architecture: Design and implement scalable and efficient client-side architectures, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including game designers, artists, and server engineers, to ensure seamless integration of game features and functionality.
• Feature Implementation: Implement and iterate on gameplay features, UI components, and client-side systems, maintaining a focus on both functionality and user experience.
• Debugging and Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, bugs, and challenges related to the mobile game.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mobile game development, and incorporate relevant advancements into our development processes.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in mobile game development or related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ or Unity (C#).
• Understanding of mobile platforms, their capabilities, and limitations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.
• Experience working in a small studio (i.e. all-rounded / generalist experience).
• Able to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to evolving project needs.

Bonus:

• Experience with multiplayer and networking in mobile games.
• Experience in designing and implementing mobile game clients with a focus on performance optimisation and responsiveness.
• Knowledge of graphics programming.
• Familiarity with game monetization strategies and ad integrations.
