Singapore The Chemical Engineer Full time

Wood is currently recruiting for a Process Engineer with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and bio-pharma industry to support our growing operations in Singapore. You will be responsible for ensuring that process engineering activities on assigned projects are executed within budgeted manhours and approved schedules, in compliance with project procedures, standards, and specifications.
Responsibilities
Driving technical excellence and assurance
Carry out process engineering design activities, following client and Amec Foster Wheeler standards and procedures to schedule and budget.
Develop, review, and ensure the quality and accuracy of process engineering deliverables.
Ensure compliance with Amec Foster Wheeler and client health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures, maintaining high safety standards.
Stay updated with the latest technical developments in your fields of expertise.
Provide technical solutions for specific project issues and support business development activities.
Perform technical assurance reviews of process engineering activities on projects and support internal development and continuous improvement efforts.
Identify and mitigate risks and opportunities for improvement.
Deliver challenging project and client targets using sound technical knowledge and decision-making skills.
Management of key stakeholders
Responsible for the overall process engineering content for assigned contracts/projects.
Participate in solving difficult technical problems.
Plan and manage resources efficiently, identifying opportunities for margin improvement, including HVEC utilization.
Role of process owner
Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for pharmaceutical process technical work.
Serve as a conduit for regulatory changes, industry initiatives, and technological developments.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Chemical/biochemical engineering degree (minimum).
Minimum Experience:
Typically requires 7 years of progressive experience in discipline engineering.
Role-specific Skills and Knowledge:
Extensive knowledge of multipurpose and dedicated API facilities, including pilot plants and modular facilities.
Good knowledge of chemical and fermentation-based API plants, biopharma plants, and supporting utilities.
Experience with concept, basic, and detailed engineering, with high-level knowledge in pharmaceutical (API & bio) and chemical processes.
Hands-on experience with process simulation software like Aspen HYSYS, SuperPro, SchedulePro, etc.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing at all organizational levels.
Financial and commercial awareness.
