Job Responsibilities
Provide inputs to supervisor on the commercial aspects of the project management program.
Define documentation guidelines for financial reporting; oversee adherence to these guidelines.
Guide subordinates in analyzing project revenues and costs against forecasts.
Evaluate options for addressing deviations from the plan in consultation with the supervisor.
Advise and support project teams on corrective actions.
Assist with documentation for external audits.
Cash Flow Management
Oversee and direct the team in collecting payments from clients promptly.
Liaise with financial institutions for timely payments to suppliers and subcontractors.
Monitor project cash flows against forecasts regularly.
Guide teams on corrective measures for deviations.
Report unresolved issues to the supervisor promptly.
Client Claims
Conduct negotiations with clients during the claims process, involving engineers and project teams for technical input.
Issue notices for scope variations, timelines, and documentation changes.
Provide clarifications to clients regarding notices.
Inform the Head of Commercial of major deviations and negotiation outcomes.
Supplier/Subcontractor Management
Develop procurement strategies with the supervisor.
Review and approve procurement schedules.
Guide on evaluating subcontractors, contract preparation, and performance monitoring.
Monitor critical subcontracted work as directed.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Surveying or relevant field.
8-10 years of experience managing the commercial department of similar-sized/complex projects.
Knowledge of project management across construction domains, including civil, building, underground works, etc.
Experience in roads work is preferred.
