Key Role: Mechanical Systems Manager

A senior position in mechanical systems leadership is available at a leading firm. As a Mechanical Systems Manager, you will oversee the lifecycle of mechanical systems across various facilities.

This role demands expertise in HVAC, chilled water systems, and energy optimization, paired with operational foresight to ensure 24/7 uptime, compliance, and scalability.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for mechanical systems across multi-site facilities, aligned with industry standards.
  • Oversee HVAC, chilled water, and airflow systems to ensure uptime, energy efficiency, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate mechanical design, commissioning, and lifecycle planning.
  • Ensure adherence to ASHRAE guidelines and local building codes; manage RCA and audit readiness.
  • Drive vendor performance, SOP/MOP execution, and service-level accountability.
  • Mentor engineering teams and embed a culture of safety, resilience, and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical systems management within mission-critical facilities (data centers, hospitals, etc.).
  • Proven track record in HVAC design, chilled water systems, and BMS integration.
  • Familiarity with Tier III/IV data center standards and Uptime Institute protocols.
  • Strong command of CMMS platforms, energy modeling tools, and CFD analysis.
