Senior Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and providing technical support for installation, service and repair work on mechanical systems for thrusters, gearboxes and pleasure craft products.

About the Role

The Senior Service Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of engineers and mentoring them in their roles;
  • Providing technical support for installation, service and repair work on ZF Marine mechanical systems;
  • Working out of town and workshop on a regular basis to undertake on-site projects;
  • Supporting shipyards to check and assess thruster, gearbox and pleasure craft products supplied by ZF;
  • Providing technical assistance and coordinating with service coordinators to ensure job completion targets are met while maintaining ZF quality standards and safety requirements;
  • Managing costs, schedules and technical product development;
  • Maintaining awareness of ZF compliance rules and policies to ensure transparency towards management and customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • To lead, mentor, and manage engineering team for internal workshop and outfield tasks;
  • To work out of town and workshop on a regular basis (on-site projects);
  • To provide technical solutions to sub-contractors and meet the job completion targets, while keeping ZF quality standards and safety requirements;
  • To maintain clear, precise, and detailed acknowledged service reports upon each project completion.
Requirements
  • Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in the related field;
  • Proficient skills in MS Office (especially Word);
  • Independence, resourcefulness and proactivity in problem solving;
  • Good health and willingness to travel offshore and overseas when required;
  • Good English language skills.
