Overall Job Responsibility
The Senior Manager/Assistant Director, Human Resource Management, will be responsible for reviewing and implementing HR policies and processes, including compensation and benefits, employment contract management, conduct and discipline, job evaluation, HR digitalisation, and operations.
The role will ensure compliance with policies, provide advisory support, and facilitate smooth HR operations to drive organisational effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities
HR Policy and Process Review
Review and implement HR policies related to compensation and benefits, conduct and discipline, and job evaluation, adopting industry best practices where applicable.
Review HR metrics and utilize analytics to assess trends and provide data-driven recommendations for policy reviews.
Implement policy enhancements and ensure the HR Management System is updated accordingly.
Ensure HR policies comply with the Employment Act and other labour laws and guidelines.
Manage and coordinate HR audits, working with auditors and management to address findings.
Employment Contract Management
Oversee review and approval of contract renewals, placements, secondments, retirements, and re-employments.
Track and follow up with staff on no-pay leave/study leave, referring cases to HRBP for further action regarding postings.
HR Operations and Others
Manage the annual salary increment process.
Supervise payroll, leave, benefits, secondment billing, and year-end financial reports to ensure accuracy.
Process staff requests for external appointments.
Provide HR advisory support to Business Units and management regarding policies, guidelines, and processes.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience
Degree or higher in any discipline, preferably with postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management.
6 to 8 years of experience managing HR policies, performance management, and/or compensation and benefits administration.
Strong understanding of the Employment Act, HR management processes, practices, tools, and technologies.
Excellent critical thinking, writing, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities within stipulated timelines.
Proactive, resourceful, and resilient.
Experience in HR analytics is advantageous.
