What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve core Japanese dishes (donburi, sashimi, grilled items) consistently and to standard
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and step up to lead during service when needed
- Work closely with the Head Chef to maintain smooth coordination across the kitchen
- Uphold strict food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards
- Ensure presentation and plating meet brand expectations
- Minimum 2 years' professional kitchen experience (Japanese cuisine a plus)
- Comfortable and skilled with essential kitchen tools
- Steady under pressure, dependable, and a supportive team player
- Willing to work weekends and public holidays
- Motivated to learn and take on more responsibility as the kitchen grows
- Competitive salary: $2,700 - $3,200/month (based on experience)
- Flexible work arrangement: 5 or 6-day work week
