FX System Engineer

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Our team creates and runs state of the art applications to manage FX trading and client risk. We are looking for a new team member to develop and maintain the platform centred around a Murex vendor system. The team interacts directly with business owners to design, implement and support innovative solutions in an agile environment.
KEY FEATURES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
People Management

• Contribute to the strengthening of the team spirit and the fostering of a collaborative work environment across locations.

• Motivate and provide guidance/feedback to other team members to improve overall performance.
Business Management

• Work to fulfil the ambitions of the team defined by Head of Vendor Solutions/Murex & ION and the Markets Operational Value Stream.

• Actively participate and support the head of the team to regularly review and improve team practices to optimise efficiency and productivity.
Stakeholder Management

• Effective management of all stakeholders and users of platforms under the team's responsibility.

• Solicit and discuss requirements and solutions with business owners and stakeholders.

• Provide regular updates to key stakeholders through the various channels used by the team.
Change Management

• Actively participate and support Program Increment (PI) planning process within Markets.

• Support change management and release rollout planning.

• Provide dedicated post implementation support locally in Asia.
Application Support & Development

• Environment and configuration management of core FX systems/FX Applications (Murex, Wallstreet, Java applications)

• Support and troubleshooting for internally created and externally supported software experience on Unix (Linux), command, SQL, XML languages

• Support and troubleshoot issues raised by business user ranging from market data, static data, trade, lifecycle, P&L and risks

• Configuration and scripting around FX platform offerings

• Build, test and deploy new tools, services and product features

• Test configured functionality/new features on FX-platform

• Help business users to make the best use of the platforms and ensure critical features are available and properly running in production

• Scheduling and troubleshooting of end of day processes

• Develop new functionality, bug fixed on FX applications

• Continuously drive and improve the system

• On call duty for production support

Professional and Technical

• 8-10+ years proven work experience preferably in the financial industry involving Murex

• Basic functional understanding of the various FX modules in Murex.

• Good understanding of life cycle events, simulation, P&L and risks

• Knowledge of Murex Datamart reporting

• Good knowledge of Linux operating systems, experience in bash scripting

• Experience in Agile methodologies
