Overview:
As a DCDP in the culinary department, you'll assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. Working closely with senior chefs, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes, maintaining your kitchen station, and ensuring the quality and presentation of our culinary offerings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills and advance your career in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of your kitchen station, equipment, and work area.
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed.
Assist in monitoring and managing inventory, including stock rotation and ordering.
Collaborate with the culinary team to contribute to menu planning and development.
Actively participate in training and skill development opportunities.
Support your colleagues and contribute to a positive kitchen atmosphere.
Be prepared to step in and handle your kitchen station independently as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Commis Chef or equivalent role is preferred.
A culinary degree or relevant culinary training is a plus.
Strong passion for cooking and a desire to pursue a culinary career.
Basic knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and hygiene.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
