Job Role Overview

Preparing high-quality meals for customers is a crucial responsibility of this role.

  • Weighing, measuring, mixing, and prepping ingredients according to established recipes.
  • Utilizing various cooking techniques such as steaming, grilling, broiling, baking, or frying meats and other ingredients.
  • Evaluating food and ingredients for freshness and quality.
  • Presenting dishes in an aesthetically appealing manner.
  • Working effectively under pressure and meeting time-sensitive requirements to ensure timely service.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a culinary degree or foreign equivalent being preferred. Relevant experience in related food and beverage service preparation positions is also essential. A solid understanding of accepted sanitation and health codes is required.

Proficiency in operating equipment such as slicers, mixers, grinders, and food processors is necessary, as is the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be able to multitask, manage inventory, and maintain high standards of sanitation and safety.
