Overall job purpose:
Leads the Insights team towards delivering best practice media content analysis for the Insights business. Provides highly valued and relevant measurement-based insights to Isentia clients, leveraging deep expertise across government, industry, and cultural landscapes. Works collaboratively and provides Insights support to the Business Development and Account Management teams in driving Insights sales and reach revenue targets. Active in educating the communications industry on measurement and participating in industry thought leadership events.
Upkeeps team-level camaraderie and morale. Improves overall team productivity and research insights through workflow streamlining, innovation, and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedules work, sets priorities and holds team members accountable with clear objectives, KPIs, policies and procedures.
Manages, coaches and gives quality feedback to the team to drive high performance. Conducts performance counseling where required.
Manages all Insights accounts through a team of Insights Analysts.
Works closely and provides Insights sales support to the BD and AMT teams to ensure high client satisfaction and retention.
Ensures that the team responds to secured projects including ad hoc requests, produces the highest quality of analysis and delivers reports in a timely manner.
Fosters consultative relationship with clients by attending meetings together with the BD/ AMT to develop comprehensive project briefs/ matrix/ listening framework that address their business needs, propose an effective research approach and/or present insights found during the analysis period.
Oversees the sales team training on Insights products and services.
Forecasts and plans resources in view of revenue pipelines.
Puts in place additional/ outsourced resources to ensure Insights operations are not disrupted by high workloads during peak periods and/or emergencies.
Ensures that the team is producing the highest quality analysis.
Coordinates and encourages team members to constantly find solutions, update technologies/tools (including charts) and/or better methodologies.
Searches for new ways to improve processes, keeping abreast with developments within Isentia and in the market.
Continuously anticipates and improves current work processes to ensure team's capacity is effectively utilised and deadlines are met.
Initiates and manages the development of new/improved products and services (in collaboration with relevant stakeholders).
Ensures compliance with Isentia policies and standards, and ensures compliance with all local statutory requirements.
Requirements:
Degree in Communications, Communications Research, Business or other related Social Sciences.
In-depth knowledge of analysis methodologies, has a good business sense with the experience in recommending effective solutions in a B2 B consultative selling environment.
3 to 5 years in related industry with sound knowledge of the market and at least 3 years of experience managing a team.
Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring skills with a team.
Proven capability in hands-on problem solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions, self-motivated and results driven.
Competent in Microsoft Office applications and other analysis tools.
English and mother-tongue proficient. Proficiency in other languages would be a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation, with cross-cultural teams and with external parties.
