Desktop Support Specialist Job Description
Job Summary:
The Desktop Support Specialist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support for end-user services. This includes identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other hardware components.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows and applications, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site technical support for end-user services
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues
- Install, re-install, troubleshoot, and reconfigure Microsoft Windows and applications
- Support Apple iPad software deployment
- Generate reports and submit daily/weekly updates
- Provide support for queries, escalation, problem determination, resolution, and MAC – move, add, and change
- Perform printer maintenance
- Take on and resolve complex calls or tasks that other engineers cannot resolve
- Responsible for learning and working independently
- Responsible for providing excellent support and timely service
Requirements:
- At least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma
- Prefer minimum 3 years experience in banking or healthcare environment
- Good attitude
- Willing to learn and work in a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent client-facing skills
- Professional presence and excellent communication skills
Desirable Skills:
- Hardware Skill – Desktop, Laptop, Printer, and Scanner
- Windows OS (Must know Windows 10) & Mac OS (added advantage)
- Microsoft Office
