Desktop Support Specialist Job Description

Job Summary:

The Desktop Support Specialist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support for end-user services. This includes identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other hardware components.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows and applications, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical support for end-user services
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Install, re-install, troubleshoot, and reconfigure Microsoft Windows and applications
  • Support Apple iPad software deployment
  • Generate reports and submit daily/weekly updates
  • Provide support for queries, escalation, problem determination, resolution, and MAC – move, add, and change
  • Perform printer maintenance
  • Take on and resolve complex calls or tasks that other engineers cannot resolve
  • Responsible for learning and working independently
  • Responsible for providing excellent support and timely service

Requirements:

  • At least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma
  • Prefer minimum 3 years experience in banking or healthcare environment
  • Good attitude
  • Willing to learn and work in a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent client-facing skills
  • Professional presence and excellent communication skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Hardware Skill – Desktop, Laptop, Printer, and Scanner
  • Windows OS (Must know Windows 10) & Mac OS (added advantage)
  • Microsoft Office
