Assistant Director of Education

The Assistant Director of Education will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the preschool. This position involves contributing to curriculum design and professional development by offering expert guidance, mentoring educators on pedagogy and teaching practices, and ensuring the effective use of learning tools and resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to curriculum design and professional development
  • Mentor educators on pedagogy and teaching practices
  • Ensure the effective use of learning tools and resources

This role also entails leading initiatives aimed at enhancing parent engagement, community outreach, and talent development. The successful candidate will oversee resource management within the center, including staff scheduling, inventory oversight, and cost control for operational expenses.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (DECCE) or a Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • A Diploma in Pre-school Education - Leadership (DPL) is advantageous but not mandatory
  • 3-5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
  • Sound knowledge of ECDA regulations and the Early Years Development Framework (EYDF)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
  • Genuine passion for early childhood education and child development
