Overview VC Partner & Business Development Manager – Microsoft North West Community Development Council, Singapore. The Partner Development Manager – VC (PDMR-VC) is the primary owner of the relationship between Microsoft and a select list of venture capital (VC) firms. Microsoft aims to offer a comprehensive, inclusive, and profitable partner network. The role is part of the Global Partner Solutions (GPS) organization, which leads recruitment of VC and private equity (PE) firms for collaboration and early access to portfolio companies. Microsoft views relationships with these firms as an integral part of the ISV partner recruitment strategy — building solutions together, creating vibrant routes to market, and selling with impact to joint customers. The individual will manage the relationship with a portfolio of select VC firms, orchestrate bi-directional market signals, and qualify digital natives and other software companies from their portfolio for engagement and to leverage the Microsoft engines. The individual will work with startups to guide them through recruitment and migration processes, and to develop their solutions on the Microsoft platform. The Global PDM-VC orchestrates the resources and provides guidance for the duration of the recruitment process, working with the new partner to create value that solves customer business challenges for prospective customers of the joint offerings. The focus will be on both early stage startups and late-stage, high-growth companies within these portfolios to drive cloud penetration and cloud revenue growth. Responsibilities Recruitment Strategy and Planning –Contribute to VC and PE firm recruitment strategic planning, as well as that of their portfolio companies. Seek and articulate market insights about top competitors and their offers. Share best practices and learnings. Recruit and manage VC and PE firm partnerships –Manage relationships with target firms to evangelize the value proposition and quantify market opportunity. Coordinate engagement of Microsoft teams required to enable/skill up partners and manage solution development. Build ISV Portfolio Funnel – Execute appropriate
