**Responsibilities**:

- Work with start-up companies to identify and prioritize how SMBC can best support them, including assisting the development of scalable products and services to help start-up companies grow.
- Identify and champion opportunities to attract clients to engage SMBC Group and SMBC global clients; facilitate portfolio company introductions to mentors, customers, partners, suppliers and others as needed.
- Work with TMT sector bankers in planning management, product specialists, credit analysts to capture and communicate significant business trends and support the transfer of knowledge (breakthroughs and innovation) across the platform.
- Work with VCs and maximize a forementioned strategic synergy. Produce performance evaluation for VC and be a part of deal team in assessing new and follow up on investment to VCs.

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree with min. 5 years of work experience in the financial industry in a business development, client management, corporate development or a similar role.
- Prior work experience in the VC industry or start-up environment.
- Ability to collaborate across teams/organizations to deliver on shared objectives.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisation and project management skills.
- A self-starter who works well independently and enjoys being part of a team.
- Passionate about emerging technologies and working with entrepreneurs.
- Experience in VC valuations, investment and M&A, is a plus.
