Highly Available Platform Developer

As a key contributor to our development team, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining scalable platforms using AWS services. This involves designing, implementing, and deploying cloud-native applications that meet the highest standards of technical excellence.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with a proven track record of creating efficient, secure, and reliable code. They will be well-versed in Terraform and have experience working with CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, they will possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.

The successful candidate will work closely with our team to develop solutions that are portable across platforms and apply continuous attention to good design and technical excellence. They will also help drive sound engineering design, process, and quality practices throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build highly available and scalable platforms using AWS services.
  • Implement appropriate observability solutions from an operational excellence standpoint.
  • Prior experience with building or maintaining cloud-native applications is required.
  • Good knowledge of Terraform is desired.
  • Develop efficient, secure, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Create solutions that are portable across platforms.
  • Apply continuous attention to technical excellence and good design.
  • Write test automation and help your team deliver frequent incremental releases using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Help promote and drive sound engineering design, process, and quality practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Understanding of security best practices and standards around cloud computing and access management.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively through an agile development process.
