Job Title:

Senior Associate/Legal Director (Commercial Disputes and Arbitration)

We are seeking an established dispute resolution lawyer to lead a diverse portfolio of litigation and dispute resolution cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of litigation and dispute resolution cases, including commercial disputes, international arbitration, and regulatory matters.
  • Draft, review, and manage the filing of legal documents.
  • Direct all facets of trial preparation, from discovery through to the development and execution of robust trial strategies.
  • Represent clients effectively in negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations, striving for outcomes that align with their best interests.
  • Lead and work with junior lawyers as well as actively support other Directors in the firm.
  • Provide strategic legal advice, ensuring the client's needs are addressed with the utmost professionalism and efficiency.
  • Be an effective and persuasive communicator who can articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively in a fast-paced legal environment.

Requirements:

  • Singapore-qualified advocate and solicitor with 6-12 years' post-qualification experience, preferably from a reputable law firm in disputes.
  • Reliable and responsible team member with a passion for advocacy.
  • A proven ability to navigate and resolve complex legal issues with a practical and commercial approach.
  • Resilience under pressure, with a proven track record of managing tight deadlines and delivering results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact confidently with clients and develop business proactively.
  • Team player who can work in a multi-cultural and collegiate law-firm environment.
