Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Philips is a global leader in health technology, committed to improving lives worldwide. We're seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Field Service Engineer to support our customers in the medical device industry. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for performing corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing medical equipment. You will also be required to submit timely and accurate service data, job sheets, reports, and other paperwork as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform corrective maintenance, supported by tier-2 support helpdesk when necessary.
  • Demonstrate commitment to meet customer needs and requirements by ensuring all given quality standards.
  • Submit timely and accurate service data, job sheets, reports, expense claims, radiation film badges, field problem reports, and other paperwork as assigned.
  • Be aware of customer needs and potential commercial leads through customer visits and provide feedback and recommendations to management and relevant people within the organization.
  • Support the District Customer Services & Operations Manager and the Customer Services Account Manager as appropriate with contract renewals, etc.
  • Use company property with care to ensure optimal results with minimal operational costs.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies likely to affect Philips' range of products.
  • Be a professional representative for Philips with respect to customer problems, ensuring personal acceptability by the customer in appearance and behavior in accordance with Philips' policy and targets.
  • Accuracy of service records with particular attention to test & inspection results.
  • Avoiding adopting appropriate ESD control while servicing Philips' equipment.
  • Usage of appropriate electronic measurement equipment in calibration controlled cycle.
  • Responsible for reporting identified device safety issues according to applicable Philips' quality standard policy.
  • Responsible for reporting customer feedback according to applicable quality standard policy and follow up relevant assigned quality & regulatory training in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Biomedical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in service or engineering roles, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • Good troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
