We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Wildlife Management Specialist. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for mitigating civet and other wildlife-related encounters in Singapore.
Your focus will be on developing and implementing effective animal management policies, conducting direct conflict interventions, and engaging in applied ecological research. You will also be responsible for managing feedback from the public and participating in public education efforts.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team that is dedicated to conserving our natural heritage and enhancing green spaces for all to enjoy in our City in Nature.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement animal management policies to mitigate civet and other wildlife-related encounters
- Conduct direct conflict interventions and engage in applied ecological research
- Manage feedback from the public and participate in public education efforts
- Degree in Biological, Environmental Science, Zoology or related field
- Advantageous to have relevant working experience in wildlife operations and public interfacing
- Demonstrate punctuality and adherence to operational schedules
- An organized, creative and resourceful team player who is able to work independently with good interpersonal skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to multi-task in performing a diverse range of duties, including enforcement when required
- Enjoy working in an outdoor field environment
- Willing to work on weekends and after office hours
