Job Title: Senior Global Key Account Director
Job Description:The key account director is responsible for the overall success of assigned key accounts, with a focus on global business development and strategic account management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and executing global business development plans and account strategies for assigned or new key accounts.
- Developing and maintaining close relationships with key stakeholders of key accounts globally.
- Responsible for acquiring new business both locally and globally in coordination with assigned account managers.
- Working actively on rate inquiries from spot business to global tenders/RFQs, from preparation to submission.
- Conducting research on all target accounts to ensure alignment with the business model.
- Preparing, managing, and leading business reviews, establishing a quarterly review cycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Shipping, Logistics, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Key Account Manager in the shipping environment, preferably in a regional or global role.
- Experience dealing with multinational/Fortune 500 customers.
- Well-versed in operational ocean freight.
- Experience working with a CRM tool.
- Proficient in MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
