Low-Pressure Membrane System Engineer

We are seeking an Engineering Research Specialist to join our team in the development of a demonstration scale low-pressure membrane system.
This role involves working closely with industry partners and collaborating on research projects that drive innovation and application.
Responsibilities:- Assist in co-supervising final year projects and capstone projects students or student helpers under the Project PI.
- Design, plan, and set up a demonstration scale LPMS plant at a site allocated by PUB and a lab-scale LPMS plant at SIT Punggol campus.
- Conduct experiments, data logging, and analysis of data collected. Work with computational fluid dynamics results generated by an expert to correlate with experimental data.
- Support the PI in drafting reports, conference proceedings, and journal articles based on project outcomes.
- Prepare and share fortnightly reports of results from computations with the program director and PI.
- Maintain software and hardware under the charge of the PI.
- A recognized degree from a good University.
- B.Eng or M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in handling large data sets and analyzing results.
- Experience with IoT setup and controller design (PLC or embedded computing).
- Self-directed learner who believes in continuous learning and development.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
