Job OverviewWe are seeking a qualified and dedicated Development Officer to join our team at SUCCESS HUMAN RESOURCE CENTRE PTE. LTD. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training programs and services to clients with intellectual disabilities. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement individualized learning plans, ensuring that our clients receive the support they need to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Client Engagement & Development: To engage, teach, train, supervise, maintain and develop the functioning level of clients to function adequately and independently in various areas such as Activities of Daily Living, Home Living Skills, Community Living & Mobility Skills, Social and Recreational Skills, and Work Readiness Skills.
- Client/Trainee Management & Development: To formulate and implement Individual Learning Programme (ILP) through professional assessment, engage in continuous assessment, training and evaluation of trainees' holistic development, plan and implement appropriate group activities, and monitor and implement trainees' security and safety procedures.
- Support Allied Health Professionals: To monitor and implement programmes designed by Allied Health Professionals in the area of health fitness & wellness programme, motivational & behaviour management plans as well as sensory awareness, and communicate critical information to Social Worker and Centre Manager.
- Administrative & Operations: To support unit operational and logistics management, ensure centre/trainees safety and security, update of clients'/trainee's daily attendance and participation in activities, events and programmes in various client management system platforms, engage in caregiver dialogue sessions, home visits and maintain good rapport and communication with parents / caregivers, attend staff meeting and training as required.
- Education: Minimum O levels / NITEC Certificate in Community Care & Social Services (ITE) / Certificate of Special Needs Education (MOE).
- Diploma/Degree: Diploma of Special Education (MOE), Diploma in Disability Studies (SSI), or Diploma of Community Services (SSI).
- Skills: Computer literacy skills MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, people-oriented team player, good interpersonal and communication skill, passion and great deal of patience to work with people with intellectual disabilities.
We offer a competitive salary of SGD 115 per day, which translates to approximately SGD 23,700 per annum based on a 5-day workweek.
