Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high-precision semiconductor equipment that meets the processing and automation needs of customers.



About This Role:
  • This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical design engineer with expertise in electro-mechanical module conceptualization and design, pneumatic/fluid circuit design, detail fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and layout drawings.
  • You will work closely with electrical engineers to select drives and electrical components, and collaborate with software engineers on interlocking logic requirements.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-precision semiconductor equipment, including electro-mechanical module conceptualization and design, pneumatic/fluid circuit design, detail fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and layout drawings.
  • Choose components based on understanding of function, reliability, and costs, as well as materials selection and manufacturing process selection.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to select drives and electrical components, and work with software engineers on interlocking logic requirements.
  • Perform DFMEA during the design process and review designs with the design lead.
  • Develop and maintain 3D solid modeling skills, preferably in Creo or other CAD software.
  • Review and improve designs as necessary, considering geometric tolerances, dimensional analyses, and structural, kinematics, and dynamic analyses and FEA simulations.


Requirements:
  • BE/BS in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 0-3 years experience in designing and developing automated equipment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including electro-mechanical module conceptualization and design, pneumatic/fluid circuit design, detail fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and layout drawings.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to learn new skills and technologies quickly, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.


Preferred qualifications include experience with ultra high-precision machine design, high-speed pick and place mechanism design, geometrical tolerancing and dimensional analyses, and application of analysis tools like FMEA, DOE.
