Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and assist us in the next phase of our business. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled engineer to work on designing and developing customized mechanical equipment, with a focus on offshore applications.

  • The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years' experience in design of heavy mechanical structures and drive systems.
  • They will be proficient in Autocad with the ability to produce detailed Production Engineering drawings.
  • Experience in 3D modeling and finite element analysis is also essential.
  • In addition, they will be experienced in mechanical engineering calculations and component selection, as well as ABS/DNV/BV class codes and standards.
  • FMECA documentation and report writing skills are also required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing individual tasks efficiently and ensuring timely completion of assigned work. They will also work closely with Sales, Projects, and Operations teams to support project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop customized mechanical equipment, with a focus on offshore applications.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver projects according to planned schedules.
  • Manage individual tasks efficiently and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
  • Work closely with Sales, Projects, and Operations teams to support project requirements.
  • Ensure all design and processes comply with ISO 9001 quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years' experience in design of heavy mechanical structures and drive systems.
