Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Lead

 

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the mechanical engineering team in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical rotating equipment. This includes conceptual, basic, front-end, and detailed engineering, as well as preparing technical specifications, material specifications, and requisitions.

 

  • Independently carry out conceptual, basic, front-end, and detailed engineering of mechanical rotating equipment.
  • Prepare technical specifications, material specifications, and requisitions.
  • Develop scope of works, invitations to bid, RFQs, and evaluations.
  • Compile technical and commercial bid evaluations (TBE & CBE).
  • Attend, comment, and witness equipment performance tests during factory acceptance test and site acceptance test, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
  • Review and evaluate vendor documents.
  • Conduct site surveys and prepare reports.
  • Perform design reviews and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Review EPC construction specifications, detailed design calculations, and drawings.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university and a minimum of ten years of experience in conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering of mechanical rotating equipment. You should also have knowledge of industrial codes like ASME B&PV, API, ANSI, ISO related to mechanical design.
