About the Human Resources Department
The Human Resources team plays a pivotal role in aligning organizational goals with employee aspirations, enhancing capabilities to drive sustainable growth at UOB. Our HR specialists are dedicated to four key commitments: acting with integrity, nurturing meaningful careers, making impactful contributions, and exemplifying positive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic HR partner to the Consumer Banking sector, collaborating with various functions to effectively implement the people strategy and deliver high-quality service to internal stakeholders.
- Manage proactive relationships and provide comprehensive HR advisory services across all facets of the Consumer Banking sector, including collaboration with Talent Acquisition for recruitment, performance evaluation, talent development, compensation strategies, training initiatives, organizational growth, and workforce planning.
- Oversee employee relations matters, either directly or in collaboration with the employee relations team, addressing issues such as disciplinary actions, grievances, employee disputes, layoffs, and terminations. Ensure the implementation of effective people management strategies and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with group and country HR teams, as well as other HR specialists, to deliver integrated HR services that support the business objectives.
Candidate Profile
- The ideal candidate holds a degree and possesses a minimum of 12 to 15 years of HR experience within large organizations or the banking sector, with a preference for experience in a Consumer Banking context.
- A proactive team leader who thrives both independently and collaboratively, capable of communicating effectively across all levels of the organization and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional stakeholder management capabilities are essential, along with a solid understanding of local labor laws and HR practices.
- Effective communication skills, a commitment to excellence, and a principled, energetic approach to HR partnership are critical for success in this role.
