Job Description

As Head of Accounting, APAC, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the accounting framework across the region, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance with corporate standards.

You will provide accounting & tax compliance support to regional stakeholders, ensure timeliness and accuracy in the financial reporting and closing process, and define and align regional financial and operational processes with corporate finance leadership.

  • Lead the development and implementation of the accounting framework across APAC, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance with corporate standards.
  • Provide accounting & tax compliance support to regional stakeholders.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy in the financial reporting and closing process to allow for insight generation to support strategic decision-making.
  • Define and align regional financial and operational processes with corporate finance leadership.
  • Support APAC and country management in establishing, managing, and reporting on financial flows, ensuring alignment with APAC FP&A, APAC Supply Chain, and corporate guidelines to enhance efficiency in the region.
  • Establish and enforce internal controls frameworks, including expense management and travel policies.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Lead special financial initiatives as needed.

To succeed in this role, you must have over 7 years of experience in a leading financial role in multinational companies, a CPA with Big 4 firm experience, and fluency in English. Mandarin and/or Korean language skills are advantageous.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Over 7 years of experience in a leading financial role in multinational companies.
  • CPA with a Big 4 firm experience.
  • Fluent in English – mandatory – Mandarin and/or Korean - Advantageous.
  • Extensive experience with managing statutory reporting requirements in APAC.
  • In-depth/working knowledge of local tax, VAT/GST, and CIT requirements and more generally APAC accounting laws, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience with Pharma / Biotech companies – Advantageous.
  • Capacity as a regional APAC finance manager position – Mandatory.
  • Acquaintance with NetSuite ERP Systems - Advantageous.
