Regulatory Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to ensure our operations meet regulatory standards.

  • Familiarity with name screening and disposal processes, including PSN02 and SFA 04-02 regulations.
  • KYC onboarding experience, documentation review, and analysis.
  • Transaction monitoring and analytics expertise, including disposals.
  • Support in periodic submissions to regulatory authorities.
  • Understanding of relevant regulatory guidelines and notices.
  • Maintenance of regulatory registers and management of administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Name Screening and Disposal Processes: Familiarize yourself with PSN02 and SFA 04-02 regulations, ensuring compliance with name screening and disposal processes.
  2. KYC Onboarding Experience: Leverage your knowledge of KYC onboarding processes, documentation review, and analysis to support the onboarding process.
  3. Transaction Monitoring and Analytics: Utilize your transaction monitoring and analytics expertise to identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  4. Regulatory Submissions: Assist in preparing and submitting periodic reports to regulatory authorities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  5. Regulatory Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with relevant regulatory guidelines and notices, applying this knowledge to maintain regulatory compliance.
  6. Administrative Tasks: Oversee the maintenance of regulatory registers and manage administrative tasks to ensure efficient operation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Management, Accounting, Law, or related fields.
  • Certificate in Anti-Money Laundering (CAMS) or Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) qualifications advantageous.
  • Relevant experience considered in lieu of tertiary qualification.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Transaction Monitoring, ECDD, and/or Financial Crime Prevention within fintech or financial institutions.
  • 2 years of practical programming experience in Finance, Financial Crime, or related areas.

Skills:

  • Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel macro and Power BI database management.
  • Good writing skills and hands-on approach.
  • Demonstrate clarity in ambiguous situations.
