Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Safety and Quality Assurance professional to join our team at Novo Recruitment Solutions Pte Ltd.
About the Role:
- This is a leadership role that oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of health, safety, environmental, and quality assurance policies and procedures within the shipping industry.
- You will work closely with the HSEQ team to ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including the ISM Code and ISO standards.
- The role involves risk management, conducting investigations into accidents and incidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- You will also be responsible for creating and updating emergency response plans, ensuring crew members are adequately trained and equipped to handle emergencies.
- An additional focus area includes minimizing waste, controlling emissions, and ensuring environmental pollution compliance.
- You will work closely with vendors to ensure they are up to date with current standards and regulations.
- Auditing of documents, vessel planning schedules, and monitoring budgets will also be part of your responsibilities.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in ship management and operations or equivalent certification (e.g., Certificate of Competency Class 3 - Deck).
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance and retirement savings plan.
