Job Opportunity: Senior Bar Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bar Operations Manager to oversee the daily bar operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and smooth service delivery. As a seasoned hospitality professional, you will be responsible for managing staff, inventory, and promotions effectively, while maintaining high standards of quality and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure seamless execution and adherence to company standards.
  • Ensure the bar is fully stocked with necessary beverages, garnishes, glassware, and supplies, minimizing stockouts and optimizing revenue potential.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the bar area, adhering to health regulations and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and uphold compliance with health regulations, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for customers and staff alike.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise bartenders, barbacks, and servers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during shifts, considering factors such as peak hours, staff availability, and business needs.
  • Provide ongoing training on mixology, service standards, and upselling techniques, empowering staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Handle employee performance reviews, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions, maintaining a fair and respectful approach.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure guests receive prompt, professional, and friendly service, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Respond to customer complaints and resolve issues effectively, demonstrating empathy and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Develop a welcoming and engaging atmosphere, encouraging repeat business and fostering a loyal customer base.

Financial & Inventory Management:

  • Monitor bar revenue, costs, and profitability, analyzing sales data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, sales reports, and forecasts, providing actionable insights to drive business growth.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock orders to prevent shortages or waste, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Control costs by minimizing spillage, breakage, and theft, maintaining a lean and efficient operation.

Menu & Promotion Development:

  • Design and update drink menus, incorporating seasonal cocktails and trends, to stay competitive and appealing to customers.
  • Work with marketing to plan and execute bar promotions, events, and happy hours, driving foot traffic and increasing sales.
  • Analyze sales data to optimize menu pricing and product selection, maximizing revenue potential.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bar Manager, Head Bartender, or similar role, with a strong track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of mixology, beverages, and industry trends, with a passion for staying up-to-date on the latest developments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage budgets, analyze sales data, and control costs, with a focus on delivering results and driving business growth.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and achieving objectives.
