About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated researcher to join our team at the Centre for Science of Urban Nature. The successful candidate will contribute to driving application-focused research that supports Singapore's vision of a City in Nature.

The Team

You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to advance evidence-based strategies for harnessing greenery, ecology, and location intelligence to improve the urban living environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To design and conduct research studies that address key challenges in urban nature conservation and management;
  2. To collect and analyze data from various sources, including field observations, remote sensing, and GIS analysis;
  3. To collaborate with stakeholders, including policymakers, practitioners, and community members, to ensure that research findings are relevant and actionable;
  4. To disseminate research outcomes through publications, presentations, and other communication channels.

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant field such as ecology, biology, environmental science, or geography;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in research and/or consulting related to urban nature conservation and management;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data collection and analysis;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
