**What the role is**

The recent emphasis on (1) translating ecological knowledge into nature-based solution in cities to provide benefits to people and (2) rapid pace of technological advancement in the areas of sensing, forecasting and data analytics, has created higher expectations for urban greenery and ecology research. At the same time, this presents an opportunity to further advance the state of the art of urban ecology, increase productivity and facilitate better liveability outcomes for city-dwellers in Singapore.

**What you will be working on**
- As part of the research team at CUGE, you will focus on scoping and managing research projects pertaining to urban ecology and ecosystems. Specifically, your duties include:

- Managing research and other projects at CUGE, as assigned.
- Advising on the translation of ecological sciences into policy, as needed.

**What we are looking for**
- Masters or PhD in an area relevant to landscape ecology, urban ecology, forest ecology, geography and environmental science.
- Demonstrated track record in quantifying ecosystem services and/ or urban ecological processes.
- Demonstrated track record in using Geographic Information Systems/ Remote Sensing as a research tool.
- Demonstrated track record in working with multiple stakeholders (e.g. government agencies, vendors, academia etc.).
- Conversant with one or more coding languages (e.g. R, python).
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in building and implementing relevant models
- Research grant and/or project management experience
