Job Title: Senior Researcher/Researcher

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced researcher to join our team and contribute to innovative projects examining human-nature relationships in urban environments. The successful candidate will have a strong background in research design, statistical analysis, and qualitative/quantitative methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and contribute to research projects examining how people experience, use, and benefit from nature in urban settings.
  • Design and implement studies on themes such as recreational quality, mental well-being, social connectivity, and resilience.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data using traditional research methods and GIS technologies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful research.
  • Produce and present findings through geospatial visualisations and technical reports.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a master's or PhD in a field related to Sociology, Psychology, Human Geography, Geospatial Science, Environmental Science, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture. They should also have experience with geospatial analysis tools, spatial statistics, and proficiency in statistical and geospatial software.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with data visualisation and mapping for research communication is highly desirable. The candidate should be able to plan, manage, and deliver research projects, including those with a strong geospatial analysis component. Strong analytical, writing, and public presentation skills are essential.
