Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy to enhance NLCS's visibility and engagement.
  • Lead the development of a master brand corporate identity for NLCS, ensuring consistency across its subsidiary brands and programs.
  • Oversee the content strategy, ensuring key messages are communicated through compelling storytelling, data-driven insights, and high-quality visuals.
  • Collaborate with program teams to provide strategic communications guidance on key issues, including branding, positioning, and crisis response.
Fundraising and Donor Engagement
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to support fundraising efforts and donor engagement.
  • Cultivate relationships with donors, stakeholders, and other external partners to advance NLCS's mission and goals.
  • Prepare and disseminate regular updates, reports, and other communications to keep stakeholders informed about NLCS's activities and impact.
Media and Stakeholder Relations
  • Establish and maintain relationships with media outlets, securing press coverage that enhances NLCS's credibility and reach.
  • Serve as the primary contact for media inquiries, preparing press releases, media kits, and talking points.
  • Provide media training and coaching to staff members to ensure they are prepared to effectively communicate NLCS's message and values.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing strategic communications plans.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for different audiences.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships across internal and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
