Business Development Role

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Professional to join our team. As a Business Development Executive in Freight Forwarding, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and improving market positioning.

Your primary objectives will be to develop new business opportunities, coordinate shipments, and penetrate existing markets. Key responsibilities include identifying target customers, initiating sales calls, and converting them into clients. You will also work closely with the Finance and Sales teams to resolve payment issues and follow up on payments with clients.

To succeed in this role, you will need to build and maintain a pipeline of business, ensure general profit aligns with set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and prepare sales planning and forecasting activities. Sourcing rates from carriers, hauliers, offices, and worldwide agents will be an essential part of your job. You will also interact and maintain relationships with subcontractors like carriers, co-leaders, and trucking companies.

Effective teamwork is crucial in this role, as you will need to collaborate with members of the Sales, Business Development team, and other functional teams to achieve common goals. You will support the sales strategy set by the Head of Business Development in conjunction with the Management and contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

You will successfully work across teams (internal and external) to overcome challenges and achieve objectives, adhere to all company policies in areas of Compliance, Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality, Code of Business Conduct, Employee Handbook, and report and document all sales activities using the company's internal system.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of hunter sales/business development experience in the freight forwarding industry, along with a proven track record and good networking skills with carriers, co-leaders, and trucking companies.
