Job Title: Turkish Chef

We are seeking an experienced Turkish Chef to join our culinary team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Turkish cuisine, including kebabs, mezes, grilled meats, breads, and traditional desserts. This role requires strong knowledge of traditional Turkish recipes, spices, and cooking techniques.

In addition to cooking duties, the Turkish Chef will also be responsible for ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of dishes according to our restaurant standards.

  • Prepare and cook authentic Turkish cuisine
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of dishes
  • Plan and manage daily kitchen operations
  • Maintain proper food hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders, and minimize wastage
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff
  • Create and suggest new Turkish dishes or seasonal menu items
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Turkish Chef or specialty cook, preferably in a restaurant setting
  • Strong knowledge of traditional Turkish recipes, spices, and cooking techniques
  • Ability to work independently and handle a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Will to work weekends and public holidays as part of the duty roster
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is an advantage
